The camera doesn't come out much these days....
so there's not many photos but we do do things! Honest! Although at the moment we're a bit caught up in the upcoming festivities. Afterall there's costumes to organise, people to see places to go etc etc.
Last weekend saw the arrival of the long awaited built-in bed. Jessica is delighted with it (as am I) and her newly floralled room is a big success. Madeline is also enjoying a bed which she doesn't fall out of all the time (as are we at 3am I can tell you!) and which her duvet finally fits! So the next big battle chez Wylie JnrJnr is what to do with the enormous sofa bed which doesn't really fit anymore. (Polite suggestions only please!)
We just did school stuff during the week... the girls had a long awaited haircut, you can now see their faces again. As did I...... can't really think of anything of note.
Very exciting this weekend though! Nick and I went out, alone, without the children!! We went to a school PTA Quiz Night, all very good fun. The clientele seemed very "safe", until "Nick's Gang" turned up, got drunk and high five-d each other on the rare occasions that we got a question right! Not an 80's pop music question in sight though..... I ask you! It was enormous fun (despite the lack of questions I could answer correctly!) and I feel the introduction of an annual event!
Today we went into Leamington in the pouring rain to watch them switch on the Christmas lights. We've been biggin' this up for a couple of weeks now, just wanting to add to the hysteria, you know!!! Anyway, we suited and booted, braved the wind and rain and.... you've guessed it.... they cancelled it! Now I realise why we have local radio. If I'd listened they'd probably have said! We had a nice cuppa in Starbucks with Ellie and her gang before beating a hasty retreat for crumpet and bed. Excellent.
