Wada Kissmes

We made a spur of the moment(ish) decision to go and see Father Christmas in MK with Grandma, Grandad and Nanny today. I picked Jessica up from playschool a little earlier and off we trundled. 3 dummy stops later we got there for lunch and a spot of shop browsing (and purchasing!).

Anyway, on to the important stuff. We went to the Christmas bit outside Lewis' to visit The Old F.C. (as we affectionately refer to him in our house!), a LONG wait in a VERY small queue later - we got in! Jessica was very unsure to start with so we had to send the peace core (aka Grandma) in to check it was safe. It was! Shock horror, and got one hundred times better when The Old F.C. (as we affectionately refer to him in our house!) gave Jessica a Princess set including; handbag, shoes, nails, phone, gloves etc, etc, but it kept getting better because Madeline got a toy too!

After the grand visit, we looked around the Christmas scenes, had a refreshing cuppa and trundled back to Leamington Spa, very tired but very happy girls (even though Madeline was slightly unsure about the amount of strapped in entertainment she was getting as opposed to the amount of crawling entertainment available!).

On arriving home, Jessica ripped her new toy open and began playing instantly, in fact wouldn't eat her tea without her earrings in! She also used the mobile phone to have a chat with The Old F.C. (as we affectionately refer to him in our house!)...

"Hi Wada Kissmes, nakou, nakou, nakou. You no come my house, I see you shops!" .................... Like Father, like Daughter!

Suffice to say, a great day was had by all!

The worm has turned!

That's right folks, the men (or man) has taken control and is in charge of blogging this week. So, prepare yourself for a testosterone fuelled posting full of phwoars and wha-heys and none of this usual touch-feely husband bashing that has become the norm on this site! Having said that I have no idea what a testosterone fuelled posting actually contains so I might just stick to the tried and tested 'we've not done much this week' routine.

Well, we've not done much this week, apart from all the things that we have done. Saturday am saw the Wylie wagon roll down to Maids Moreton where we gorged ourselves on in-law hospitality. Saturday evening saw Pete go back in time and restore the Saturday night taxi service to take Liz and I to Marsh Gibbon where we were magnificently wined and dined courtesy of Jason and Hon Aunt Bec. Adult company and everything. Being dirty stop outs we didn't arrive back till about 2.00 am! Rock and roll.

Consequently Sunday was a bit of a haze, Ella, John and Barney came round and the girls (who were incidentally very colour co-ordinated) played. A brief trip to Great Nanny Carol was, well, great; then back to Janice and Pete's for life-saving Sunday lunch; back to Leamington; CBeebies straight on; Mummy had a little doze on the sofa despite Maddy's best efforts to intervene; and that was the lot. Phew, it's all go here.

That's all for now folks - more man style blogging soon. What's that you say? You people just can't get enough.

Nothing much

Just wanted to show you all Maddy's great Monkey Music Uniform (I think it's very apt!). Oh and I took a really nice photo of Jess while Maddy was asleep, I thought the world deserved to see it!

Photogenic or what? Posted by Picasa
