Day 3 - Gravenhurst

A good night's sleep and we were ready to begin the build up to the big day. We began with a customary huge breakfast courtesy of Robyn, before the Leamington Wylies headed off for an explore of the local area.

With Liz taking the wheel of the pimp wagon we raced up to Port Carling where we stopped for some lunch in a local bar/restaurant - one of the few places actually open on Good Friday. We then found a great kids play area where we planned to exhaust children a little, only they appeared to have co-ordinated their bowels so we had to leave quickly, return to the bar/restaurant to use their facilities before heading on round the lake to get our first look at Kirrie Glen the venue for the wedding reception. Here we 'helped' to set up the tables and played some poo sticks before returning to Gravenhurst.

In the evening we paid our first visit to Boston Pizza where there was a pre-wedding gathering of the wedding party and guests. Grandma and Grandad sensibly (and generously) offered to take the girls back to bed allowing me and Liz to enjoy one or two Margeritas (oh, alright it was three but still!). Failing to acknowledge that this was meant to be a quiet night before the wedding, the British contingent most closely associated with Plymouth University, started plying all and sundry with drinks, before persuading a poor and unsuspecting waitress to ferry people into town to a bar called the Albion. Here, to the bemusement of various Gravenhurst locals, a number of people, including the Groom and both his best men, drank some more and attempted some line dancing.

However, just like Cinderella, the Groom left at midnight (with his best men) and apparently failed to sleep at all - so he might as well have stayed in the bar after all.
