Baby Central!
So nothing really of note has happened to us directly since the last post, although we are now Aunt/Uncle for the fifth time!
A quick review;
We had a late night on Friday as Nick invited all his intelligent PhD friends around to discuss colostomy bags and playstations. At 4.30am I finally finished the washing up (yes I did it before bed... had gone through tired and was wide awake by then!) and wearily dropped into bed beside a snoring and very inebriated husband.
So Saturday was basically wasted. Hung around the house all day, washing, sleeping, being kept awake by small children, etc, etc, etc. Punctuated by phone calls from Mother and Brother to introduce Thomas to the world. Well done Lucy, a home birth and all. Like shelling peas as they say!
Sunday, therefore, was a hasty but very good fun shopping trip to get cards etc, and a visit to the boy wonder (that's NOT John!). He's lovely! [Look in the friends and family sidebar if you're interested.... my brother's being very silly currently, think it's the lack of sleep, but anyway....]
We had made plans to visit the Hamers with their new addition on Bank Holiday Monday, but what with the girls conjunctivitis (again) it was looking pretty unlikely, so what luck when Tim called and said that they were in Buckers too! So we raided Mrs Hamer (Snr) for a cuppa, biscuit and a cuddle with Alice before heading back to Nana's, tails between legs at stranding her with our children for so long! (We quite enjoyed it though!)
Which left Monday empty. So Nick filled it; going on a bike ride, going to the garden centre and planting in his "patch". Jessica helped a very little bit and Madeline was an enormous help, as you can imagine! Oh, and neither of them were impressed to be on a one and a half hour bike ride in the afternoon either, screams all around! Ho-hum!
So there you have it.
Over and out!

Nick, man after my own heart, finish your chores before bed woman!!
Congrats on the mega Uncle and Aunt status you have now achieved - mega in number that is. I couldn't possibly comment on your quality!. However, I did note that both you and Rebecca started your posts saying nothing much of interest had ahppened to you and then going on to talk about the arrival of Thomas.... how to make a wee bloke feel special Lesson 1!!! Pretty darn cute though isn't he?

Erm, not wanting to be pedantic (as you know I wouldn't be!!!). I said nothing had happened to us "directly" - vital word which identifies that I'm not making someone elses BIG news my own! Obviously thrilled about the new arrival but not claiming it as MY OWN news!
(Pedantry over!!!!!)

ok, ok! I am proerly rebuked! You clearly have quality as well as quantity!
