Didn't we have a lovely time....
Although we weren't in Bangor! (It even fits the music!!!!!!!! Go on, sing it, you know you want to!))
We've had a very busy weekend to share with you all - how exciting! On Friday we did a long awaited family visit thing! We went down London way and saw; Great Nanny Doris, Great Auntie Carol, Second cousin Lucy (for those of you who don't know - Carols daughter!), Uncle Sam and Honorary Uncle Andrew and Honorary Auntie Allison. We had a lovely day - if not somewhat hectic. The girls were very good and coped very well with lots of long-ish trips in the car and had a lovely time playing with all the aforementioned people.
Nicholas however, appeared to have a little bit too much of a good time during and after dinner chez Gaskells. He was the life and soul until 8am on Saturday when his stomach refused to store the red wine any longer. All of a sudden he became a very sheepish and embarrassed thirty - going on seventeen - year old! Wonder why!
Anyway, The girls and I stayed with Allison for a bit - went for a little walk in the park and then drove back to Leamington. A quick visit to St Nicholas Park today primarily to have a go in the fairground which we then discovered, to Jessica's immense disappointment, is seemingly only open in the summer months! But... Jessica battled on through on the boring swings, slide, castle things, twirly things, pitch and putt. Oh it was dreadful..... she'll tell you!!!!! Then home for lunches, sleeping (all!!!), tea and playing.
MEANWHILE..... Nick made his way to a posh golf course in Reading for the weekend with the boys. Golf, dinner, drinks, pool, more golf. Tra la la. He seems to be in one piece now - so one assumes Friday night was enough for him!
Enjoy the photos.
